At Handala Dental, we obtain personal information for the purposes of providing oral and dental healthcare services to you, issuing invoices, communicating with you and maintaining our client databases.
This includes all the information provided by you to Handala Dental on the initial intake forms we collect at your initial visit and any updated information collected at subsequent visits. 
We retain your information for the period needed for the provision of oral and dental healthcare and for any period required by governmental regulations or statutes.
If you apply for a position with Handala Dental, we will use your personal information to assess your candidacy.

Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to legal and/or contractual restrictions and upon reasonable notice. Your withdrawal of consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information may impact our ability to serve you and provide you with comprehensive care.

Generally, we do not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent unless permitted or required by applicable laws or court orders. We disclose your information to third parties as needed for the purposes for which it was collected. These may include other health care providers involved in your care, dental benefit providers to complete transaction, dental electronic health record and archival software providers. This disclosure to third party service providers is bound by regulations regarding privacy which are consistent with this policy. You may designate restrictions as to the disclosure of your personal information at any time in writing.

Accuracy of Your Information
Personal information that we collect from you must be complete, accurate and up to date for us to provide you with the services we offer. We may ask you for up dated information at subsequent visits. If any information is changed, you are responsible to inform us to make the necessary changes. Failure to inform us of any updates to your personal information may hinder your access to our services.

Safeguards
We commit to protecting your personal information at handaladental.ca. We uses various safeguards to ensure protection against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying or alteration. These include: security of our physical premises; our professional obligations; security software to prevent unauthorized computer access or “hacking”; and internal passwords that restrict access to our electronic files.

Access to your Personal Information
You have a right to request to be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of your personal information. You have the right to be given access to that information that does not disclose another person’s personal information. You have the right to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and you may request to have your information amended as appropriate.

Like most other commercial websites, we may monitor traffic patterns, site usage and related site information to optimize your visit to our website. We do use any electronic means to collect personal information from you or your computer; however, our website server will automatically collect IP addresses. We may view the IP log from time to time, for example, to maintain the security of our website. We do not link the IP addresses to other personally identifiable information. We use cookies only for session control and security of your login.
